FINALLY! After so many years of wanting to join -and finish- a triathlon, I did it!
But not without the requisite failures and learning experiences that come along with it..

Here I am starting off the swimming leg in strong fashion.
After leading the 2nd wave of triathletes in the swim...
... it was off to the bike leg, where trouble awaited me:
after 1km, the bike pedal broke off.. so I had to walk/jog/freewheel for 11km... here I am waddling into the transition to the run:
Due to the mechanical breakdown, it was a bottom-of-the-barrel finish for me. It was a lesson in humility and i will never forget this experience.
